Cybersecurity Act

The new regulation of the NIS 2 Directive will bring fundamental changes to the Czech Republic's national law in the field of cyber security. These changes are so fundamental that a completely new law on cyber security and its decrees will be issued. The draft law has now been submitted to the inter-ministerial comment procedure.

The theses of the implementing legislation have been prepared for the draft law, which includes the draft decree:

Regulated Services,

  • security measures of the provider of a regulated service under the regime of higher obligations,
  • security measures of the provider of a regulated service in the regime of lower obligations,
  • the NUCIB portal and requirements for selected actions,
  • non-negotiable functions of a specified scope, and
  • supplier risk criteria.

The transposition period under the Directive ends in October 2024, so the Act and related amendments should enter into force by that time at the latest.

Do you know your obligations as an employer in the area of cyber security? If not, contact us for more information. We would be happy to walk you through your compliance process.
